Last updated: June 29, 2026
Sweet An Business LLC, doing business as “My School Advisor” (“My School Advisor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report material they believe infringes their copyright, and how affected users can respond, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
1. Reporting claimed copyright infringement
If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that material available through the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (below) that includes all of the following:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list);
- identification of the material you claim is infringing and that you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it (such as the URL or where it appears in the Service);
- your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material in question and take reasonable steps to notify the user who submitted it.
2. Designated Copyright Agent
Send DMCA notices and counter-notices to our Designated Copyright Agent:
Tony An, DMCA AgentSweet An Business LLC, dba My School Advisor
2121 El Monte Dr., Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Phone: (323) 632-2799
Email: privacy@myschooladvisor.app
Copyright owners may also locate designated agents through the U.S. Copyright Office’s public DMCA Designated Agent Directory at dmca.copyright.gov.
3. Counter-notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send our Designated Copyright Agent a written counter-notice that includes all of the following:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or that person’s agent.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
4. Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances and in our discretion, we will disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual-property rights.
5. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Please make sure of your rights before submitting a notice or counter-notice. If you are unsure, consult an attorney.
